Update to The Standard and Assessment Plan for ST0252

The Standard and Assessment Plan for ST0252 –  Lift and Escalator Electromechanic (Level 3) has been updated to Version 2.

The changes will have a positive impact on apprentices undertaking the option 1 Lift Installation pathway and expect to be implemented for all apprentices moving forward.

The changes are:

Project / Presentation

O1S6:  Changed from ‘Install roping systems and set up to lift industry specifications’ to ‘Install suspension systems to industry specification’ 

O1S7: Changed from ‘Install traction machines of various types to lift industry specifications’ to ‘Install a traction machine to lift industry specification’

Structured Dialogue

O1S2: Changed fromInstall and adjust hydraulic systems used on lifts for all duty ranges, from single nursing home applications through to heavy duty industrial goods applications’ to ‘Install and adjust hydraulic systems used on lifts for any duty ranges, from single nursing home applications through to heavy duty industrial goods applications.’
